I did preach this past Sunday, and for a change I knew what I was going to preach before entering the pulpit and on top of that was able to write a manuscript, which you can find here. Though, I do not guarantee that what is written is how it was delivered but for my regular readers that should go without saying. But I am not going to muse this evening on my preaching process.

So, I was baptized yesterday. Since then, I have already sinned (big surprise) so I am freshly reminded that I am justified by grace and not my own works. But, by God’s grace I DO stand justified before Him, clothed with the righteousness of Christ! And by God’s grace I was baptized in the Marriott’s pool by Matt Rawlings yesterday. Awesome! I wrote out my testimony as well, and wanted to post it here..

The last I posted I was heading off to St Gregory’s Abbey in Three Rivers Michigan, for an overnight stay with the monks. I prayed one full cycle with the monks. I had a wonderful train ride on the way there, but on the way home a trip that should have taken a little over 2 hours to over 4 hours. I had books and stuff to do, so not a loss but it did sort of mess with my plans for reentry. The

Well it turns out that I had written a little piece about my time at St Gregory’s Abbey before I left. I carry with me a notebook in which I from time to time will jot down some ideas for a blog post or write a sizable portion of a blog post when I am not near my computer. When I began to write some notes for my post on Take this Bread, I found what I had intend to post when I returned. So
