I do not know how much more of this I can take. My physical condition is worse than usual and has been for about 6 months now and my emotional and mental state is getting worse every second. The only thing that’s keeping me going is the adrenaline rush I’m getting from the anger I have towards this whole situation, which will eventually kill me I suppose.
 
Anyway, I received two letters from the SSA Office of Central Operations in Baltimore, MD yesterday. The one dated August 20, 2007 states that my case has been forwarded to a Hearings Office in Falls Church VA (which my previous lawyer said would be a bad thing) and that it could take 6 months for my case to be heard due to backlogs. The lawyers haven’t yet opened my case but I did send a 10 page fax to them with updated information, including the faxes I sent to both Congressman and the lame letter I received from the Federal Benefits Unit. There’s not much else to report at this time, except that I am feeling the severe effects of all the stress and aggravation I’ve had recently in dealing with the SSA and their stupidity. I am unbelievably tired and weak, my body pains are at an all-time high and I just can’t seem to focus on much at the moment, let alone get much done, so I’m trying to rest quite a bit and not think about the situation too much.

Quick update - I received a letter from Congressman #2/Ms. G and a copy of the cover letter they sent to Ms. B, the so-called district manager of the Trenton SSA office. They also included the 3 page fax that I sent to them in Ms. B’s letter, so she can now read in print how I would just love to take all of them to Federal court over their incompetent behavior *insert Mutley laugh here*.
 
In addition, they asked Ms. B to respond to them in writing, and in the cover letter they sent me they noted that they would be forwarding Ms. B’s reply to me. It will be interesting to see if she even bothers to respond. If she doesn’t, I will file a second complaint with the Office of Public Inquiries.

I haven’t been physically strong enough to make entries weekend…it’s probably a good idea that I stop making entries on weekends altogether; my husband and I have been having several horrid and vicious arguments with the mounting stress and pressures we’re dealing with regarding finances and emotional issues between us, and our own separate emotional issues adding to the stress and pressure, not to mention the severe anxiety and worry I’m having about the SSA’s antics and enlisting the new legal team, AND me driving him nuts about it, every single day.
 
This kind of conflict and arguing in general causes my usual body pains and fatigue to become acute, which they have done over the past week or so. Yes, the SSA has really pissed me off again today, and here’s the funny part. I spoke to Binders today for further guidance on how to deal with the SSA while awaiting their official retainment. One of the things I was advised to do was to call the SSA’s 1-800 line immediately and request a copy of my entire work history record, because this is an important document that will be required by the Binders once they open my casework.

I have just sent an 8-page fax to Congressman #2, requesting his intervention to support me taking legal action against the Social Security Administration for their gross incompetence and neglect in handling both my disability claims. I don’t know whether this was a good idea or not…but what the hell, it’s so fucked up at this point I don’t think it matters anymore.
 
I have also left a message for Congressman #1 (Mrs. C)…again…let’s see if she calls back. 
 
The Trenton SSA is meant to be calling me back today or this week also - I’m going to attempt to let that call go straight to message. I really don’t feel like talking to that bitch Mrs. D - after all, she ignored me for 10 months, let’s see how she likes being ignored, especially when her ‘manager is driving her nuts’ as she put it.

Just before leaving to go to the rheumatologist this afternoon, the mail had arrived. I received a letter from the SSA - actually, it’s a notice….Notice of Disapproval of Claim….
 
The way this notice is worded, it is flat out saying that, because I didn’t earn enough working credits, I am simply not eligible for SSD, and they have not assessed whether I meet their medical guidelines for being disabled….hmmm…even with those elusive Totalization credits which held this decision up for nearly one year?
